The LG Energy Solution-Honda joint venture has partnered with Rose International for Direct hire recruiting services for this role.



Summary:

The Facilities Engineering Lead is a highly experienced individual who will lead the facilities engineering team. The role will be to lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team through daily workload assignments, training, project management, and budget development. The responsibilities for this role include providing schedules, reports, & presentations to department and company leadership.



Responsibilities:

Engineering manpower oversite & coordination assignment of daily task and workload

Provide daily mentoring and guidance for growth of engineering staff members

Lead the management of utility infrastructure reliability, capacity, and safety

Budget responsibilities to formulate requests, tracking expenditures, analyzing trends

Maintain organizational budgets for capital investment and expense activities

Evaluate new technology and system end-of-life characteristics, seeking innovation opportunities

Work with internal customers, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to develop concept, specification, design, fabrication, and installation-related documents

Communicate and work with department design team members

Provide technical expertise to projects and support management of the overall execution

Support site development, equipment installations, utility maintenance and repair

Ensure all deliverables comply with associated contract documents, codes, and regulations


Education/
Experience:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related discipline required

7
years of related work experience


Knowledge/Skills:

Positive attitude, open minded, and team player

Ability to coach/mentor/develop team members

Strong subject matter knowledge of industrial utility and infrastructure systems

Knowledge of building codes, governing regulations, and industry standards

Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project

CAD Software - AutoCAD / Revit capabilities

Comprehending technical drawings and specifications

Effective communication of ideas to gain consensus from individuals or teams

Ability to multitask and balance multiple projects simultaneously

Working well in a collaborative environment

Ability to balance the wants / needs of the customer with Facilities operational requirements

Knowledge of project flow, budgeting, cost reporting, tracking, PDCA and Waterfall chart development

Korean language proficiency a plus


Additional Requirements:

Ability to work in both office and shop environments

Hands on support of equipment

Flexibility to work adjusted shifts as necessary

This role could require up to 10% of travel (domestic or international)
